Self-hardening binder based on alkyd resin containing modified oil, hardened with Catalyst KL based on isocyanate. Binder SL 2002 contains a small amount of isomer mixture. As compared to Binder SL, it is more ecological and its resistance is better.
Binder SL 2002 is used to produce moulds and cores. We may use quartz or chromite sands as a mineral base. Sands containing this binder are used first of all in production of cast steel castings. In cast steel foundry engineering they are competitive in relation to self-hardening sands containing phenol and furfuryl resins.
